This is what a bump map might look like correctly applied in the Poser 5 (or Poser 6 advanced setting) material room. Note that the default value on the 'Bump' node is 1.000 - this is usually far too high and will distort any final bump effect out of recognition. 0.1 and lower gives a far better result.
If you have saved this information somehow as a 'MAT pose' and you apply it in Daz Studio, the surface setting will look like the image below -
Any MAT pose that contains a bump map will generally appear in DS with a strength of 100% and a negative and positive depth of 0.010 regardless of how the MAT pose is saved. Props and figures that load in with a texture already applied (i.e. it was saved with a 'skin') should load in with a strength proportional to that applied in Poser. You should set this to 100% in DS and see how it looks before changing it up or down!
This is the whole reason why seperate Daz Studio materials might be needed if you want your product to appeal to both sets of users! As you can see on the right, these default settings in DS barely make the effect visible at all.
To get the same depth of effect as you get in Poser, you will need to change the settings applied by the MAT pose file, and resave in Studio's proprietary *.DS format.
As a general rule, I would suggest converting the negative depth, and positive height by a factor of ten inside Studio - the strength at 100% does not need to be altered but can be tweaked to suit your needs. As you can see, altering these settings of -0.1 and 0.1 give a result far closer to that in Poser.
